Creating My Art is Like Dancing in Rainbows "Wow! Your colors are really bright!" I get that all the time when someone new encounters my art for the first time. It is hard to describe the vibrant interplay of colors, but you come closest if you imagine dancing inside a rainbow shot through with sunlight.
For me, colors are emotions and experiences, and the only way I can fully express a life journey is to visually portray it through the use of the full spectrum of colors. Because my designs are abstract, I can enjoy playing with motion and mood through the interconnection of lines and angles. My designs layer shapes and colors to create a visually dynamic image that can draw you in time and time again to explore it from a new perspective. |

Why Art MattersWhen we allow ourselves to live in the moment, our lives are transformed into elegant expressions of joy. Worry, sorrow, and fear drop away from us - and what remains is the true essence of our Selves. Gypsy Song ArtWorks is the soul's journey expressed in delicate, complex patterns and intensely vivid colors.
Within each painting is a message from the Universe: "Breathe. Love. Laugh. Take Courage. Your life is more wondrous than you can imagine." My paintings are joy ... freedom ... hope ... love ... and a myriad of emotions that words are powerless to express. When you share your life with my pictures, you will feel transformed. Their positive energy embraces and soothes; it encourages you to join in the universal dance of life. Abandon fear! Seek life! Be joy-filled in all you do - and you, in turn, will transform the universe. |

About Me I grew up in a family where creativity was encouraged, and where curiosity was the motivation to try new ideas. Arts and crafts of all sorts were a regular part of activities, and my siblings and I enjoyed the freedom to explore and experiment with many ideas and materials. Although I had a watercolor painting in the local paper by the time I was 11, I focused on writing as my primary form of expression - but complex geometric doodles could be found on almost every page of my school notes and other materials. Many, many years later, the death of my father-in-law, and then my father and my dog in close succession brought out in me a desire to more profoundly express what their lives - and all life - meant. Words were simply not enough. Reconnecting with the freedom of expression I learned as a child, I now focus on creating paintings that celebrate life. Bright colors and intricate detail are essential elements, with designs that range from mandala-like symmetry to more abstract visuals ... but all paintings share in common a sense of joy, freedom, and healing. |
